Women's tennis celebrates Senior Day with 4-3 win over Chestnut Hill

Box Score Millersville, Pa. - Although Chestnut Hill won the doubles point and top two singles matches, the Millersville University women's tennis team won the proceeding four singles matches to earn its second-straight victory. Seniors Katina Jones, Haley Nauman and Kelley Hershey were honored prior to the start of the match. 

The Marauders improve to 5-13, while the Griffins fall to 2-11.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Kelsey Heckert swept her opponent at flight three singles, 6-0, 6-0, as did Victoria Hanus at flight four. Hanus' win clinched the match in Millersville's favor.
Corinne Grohoski handily won her flight five singles match, 6-1, 6-0, and Lauren Weaver won her flight six singles match by default. 
• Mia Covic and Barbara Broville carried Chestnut Hill in the loss. Covic won her flight one doubles and singles match, while Broville was victorious in her flight two doubles and singles match. 

NOTES
• This is the second time this season the Marauders have won back-to-back matches. 
• The Griffins now hold a slim lead in the all-time series, 5-4. 

UP NEXT
• Millersville will play the first of two-straight road matches when it travels to the University of the Sciences on Thursday, April 11 for a 5:30 p.m. match.
