Women's tennis edges out Jefferson, 4-3

Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - The Millersville University women's tennis team won its second-consecutive match in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, defeating Jefferson, 4-3. 

The Marauders improve to 7-13 and have now won four-straight matches, while the Rams fall to 8-9.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• After teaming up with Jasmine Morris to win at flight one doubles, 6-4, Katina Jones was victorious in a very tight flight one singles match. After dropping the first set, 6-3, she bounced back to take the second set, 6-4, and took the final set, 6-1.
Corinne Grohoski handily won her flight five singles match, 6-1, 6-0.

NOTES
• This marks Millersville's first four-match win streak since the 2015-16 season.
• The Marauders now lead the all-time series against Jefferson, 10-3. 

UP NEXT
• Millersville will stay on the road and be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, April 14 when it takes on UVA-Wise at 7 a.m. followed by a match against Shepherd at 3 p.m.
