Box Score Orlando, Fla. - Despite some very tightly-contested singles matches, three of which went to a third set, the Millersville University women's tennis team lost to the University of Mary on Tuesday morning, 7-0.
The Marauders fall to 3-7, while the opposing Marauders improve to 12-3.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Katina Jones fought hard in an epic flight one singles match. After winning an 8-6 tiebreaker in the first set, Jones dropped the second set, 6-4, and ultimately lost a very close 18-16 third set.

Victoria Hanus also barely lost her flight five singles match. After losing the first set, 6-2, Hanus bounced back to take the take the second set, 6-4, and almost won a very tight 11-9 third set.

Jasmine Morris also played well at flight two singles. After dropping the first set, 6-1, she won the second set, 7-5, before ultimately falling in the third set, 10-6.

Kelsey Heckert's flight three singles match did not go to a third set, but she still competed well in a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) loss.

• "University of Mary is a strong team and they haven't lost this week. Katina, Jasmine and Victoria extended their matches to the limit, but we couldn't quite get over the hump. It was a great effort though, and we now have a day and a half to prepare for Thursday."
