Jacob Gosselin named to D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Senior forward Jacob Gosselin continues to be rewarded for his stellar 2019 season and today was named to the 2019 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team. The Marauders have relied on Gosselin's uncanny finishing ability time and again this fall. There was a stretch during the regular season, from Sept. 14 to Oct. 16, where Gosselin scored at least one goal in eight of the Marauders' ten games during that period. Gosselin also scored one of the most dramatic goals of the season with one second left in double overtime against Shippensburg on Sept. 21.
Gosselin's 12 goals in 2019 are a career-high and triple his season total from 2018. He has now scored 29 goals in his collegiate career, good for ninth on the all-time Millersville goals scored list. He has assisted on six goals and earned 28 total points this fall, both career highs for a single season. Gosselin was named PSAC East Athlete of the Year, which was the fourth time in school history that one of its players have won such an award.
The Marauders' season is not complete yet and Gosselin still has a chance to increase his season totals. Millersville plays Post University on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
