Men's basketball cruises past Cheyney

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's basketball team took care of business Monday night in Pucillo Gymnasium, handily defeating visiting Cheyney, 85-50.

The Marauders won their third consecutive game to improve to 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jaden Faulkner, the reigning PSAC East Athlete of the Week, scored a game-high 18 points to go with seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. Three other Marauders scored in double figures as well as they cracked 80 points for the fourth consecutive game.
• The Marauders were sharp in the first half, hitting 56.3 percent of its shots from the field for 48 points. The defense was as well, forcing 15 turnovers. But the shooting cooled and the full-court press was dropped in the second as the Marauders hit just 10-of-30 for 37 points and forced three turnovers in the final 20 minutes.
• Millersville broke open the game in the final six minutes of the first half. Millersville led 30-20 before finishing the half on an 18-2 run. During that stretch, six Marauders scored buckets and Millersville made 6-of-7 shots with three steals.
