MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's soccer team remains the only unbeaten PSAC team in conference play and puts that record on the line Saturday afternoon as they host Shepherd University at 3 p.m. Shepherd is the only PSAC team to have not won a conference game, although they did force a draw with Shippensburg University.

The Marauders and Rams did meet earlier this fall, with the Ville earning a 2-1 victory on Oct. 5 thanks to goals from Bob Hennessey and Anthony Calamia.

Millersville remains in first place in the PSAC East standings with an unbeaten 7-0-2 conference record, remaining one point ahead of West Chester and seven clear of third-place East Stroudsburg. Only three regular season games remain before the PSAC tournament, and Millersville plays two of those games at home.

The Millersville men's soccer team has also been ranked No. 8 in Super Region 1 in the first NCAA regional rankings of the 2019 season.

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS

• Jacob Gosselin continues to be an offensive force in the PSAC. His ten goals and 25 total points in 2019 are both ranked second in the entire conference, behind Lock Haven's Andrea DiSomma (15 goals and 32 total points.) Gosselin only scored four goals during the entire 2018 season.
• Eleven different Marauders have scored at least one goal in 2019. Freshman Frank Astarita is second on the team with four goals, while Nathan Maynard, Bob Hennessey, Matteo Adiletta and Anthony Calamia have all put two into the back of the net.
• Saturday is Marauders' senior day at Pucillo Field. Darian McCauley, Jacob Gosselin and Ethan Woods are the three seniors that will be honored prior to the match.

• The Marauders got on the scoreboard in the 6th minute after Frank Astarita fired a shot that rebounded right to Bob Hennessey at the far post to make it 1-0.
• Shepherd equalized in the 24th minute but Anthony Calamia beat a bunch of defenders via the dribber and rocked a shot through the keeper's legs that turned out to be the game-winning goal.
• Millersville launched 18 shots in the game compared to Shepherd's eight.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

• Carlos Castillo leads the Rams in goals with five total. Steven Choque has added three and Justin Daniels has scored two.
• Shepherd has allowed the most goals in the entire PSAC (49 total.)
• The Rams have made the most saves as a team (111) in the conference.
