
Cartmill wins three races in Millersville's dual meet loss to Lock Haven

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Madisson Cartmill won three races but it wasn't enough for the Millersville women's swimming team, which fell 141-93 to Lock Haven in its first dual meet of the season.
Cartmill posted PSAC Championships qualifying times in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.44) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.87). She also took first place in the 200-yard individual medley, besting teammate Jessica Berry, who posted a 2:23.52.
Cartmill's time in the 200 free was a career-best and the 10th-fastest time in program history.
Berry narrowly missed a PSAC qualifying time with a 1:14.49 in her first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Millersville's 200-yard medley relay team of Cartmill, Berry, Eryn Bartlett and Alexis Shollenberger bested two Lock Haven teams with a time of 1:57.72. The quartet won the race by more than six seconds.
