Turf and track renovations set for Summer 2018

Millersville, Pa. - New turf and a resurfaced track and are set for installation at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium this summer.
The project, which includes removal of the existing turf, breaks ground on May 14 after commencement and is expected to be completed on June 29. The current turf, installed in 2005, will be replaced by FieldTurf Revolution Monofilament 360 2.5.
New design elements include full color end zones and sidelines as well as the "Ville" word mark in across the end zone.
The turf will continue to serve as the primary competition site for football, field hockey and women's lacrosse and will also be utilized by the University's club and intramural sports.
Landtek will serve as the installation contractor for the turf. Track and long jump area resurfacing will be handled by Nagle Athletic Surface. Additionally, permanent fencing surrounding the track will be installed by New Holland Chainlink LCC.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $1 million and is paid for by Millersville University plant funds.
