Newberry, S.C. - Cole Friese's ninth-inning sacrifice fly gave Millersville a 6-5 lead over Newberry, and
Mike Mock nailed down the win with two scoreless innings of relief.
Newberry (3-3) used a pair of late-inning rallies to sweep a doubleheader against the Marauders (3-3) Friday, but it was Millersville's turn on Saturday. Millersville led 5-2 before Newberry hit back-to-back home runs and tied the game in the bottom of the seventh. In the top of the ninth, with one out and
Luke Trainer on second base,

Ted Williams drew a walk, loading the bases, and Friese followed with a fly to center, plenty deep for Trainer to score from third.
The bottom of the ninth was not without its drama. Mock walked two of the first three batters he faced, and the game-tying run reached scoring position. But Mock ended the game by getting the next to batters to fly out.
Mock did not allow a hit while working the eighth and ninth innings.
Tyler Yankosky allowed two runs on three hits and two walksk in 4 1/3 innings.
Manning Brookens went 2 for 4 and drove in a run.
