COACH MATT HELSEL QUOTES
• "We are clearly improving and heading in the right direction, but it's disappointing not to get a win when it's right there in your grasp. We barely lost one and two doubles, we even had a match point on court one. We have to learn how to close out matches."
• "Victoria and Corinne have both been playing very well in practice, so I'm happy they were rewarded for their solid play. Kelsey and Jasmine also played very well in singles. We have a great young core of players."
• "Victoria and Kelsey have been solid in doubles lately. Today was great because they took control early and never let up, so I was able to focus on the other two matches."
• "I'm excited to see how we play tomorrow after a long day of playing and traveling. Sometimes you just need a short memory and learn from today and move on to tomorrow."
NOTES
• This was the first meeting between these two teams since the second round of the 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament, which the Vulcans won 5-0.
UP NEXT
• Millersville looks to bounce back tomorrow when it travels to Slippery Rock for an 11 a.m. matchup. This will be the first time these two teams faceoff since 2015 when Slippery Rock won 9-0 at a neutral site in Hilton Head, S.C.
