Bloomsburg, Pa. - Aliza Mizak scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute to lead the No. 9 Millersville University field hockey team to its fourth-straight win on Wednesday evening at Bloomsburg. With the win the Marauders clinch a spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament for the seventh-straight season and get some revenge for their 3-2 loss against the Huskies back on Sept. 25. That match did not count towards conference play, but this one did.
Millersville improves to 11-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play, while Bloomsburg falls to 9-6 and 3-5 in PSAC play.

Kyra Brakefield took the lone Marauder penalty corner in the 28th minute. She sent a pass towards
Erica Tarsi who fired a shot near the cage that
Aliza Mizak tipped in to give her team the lead.
• The Huskies had their opportunities to tie the game in the second half as they were awarded six penalty corners in the period. One of them came in the 52nd minute which was taken by Erica Krebs. She sent a pass to Tali Wehner who fired a shot towards the cage that
Autumn Peters saved. Following the play Bloomsburg was awarded another penalty corner, but the Marauders cleared the ball successfully.
• In the 61st minute, the Huskies had one final chance to even the score. Krebs took a penalty corner and sent the pass to Ali McKay, but the Millersville defense blocked her shot. Krebs took two more penalty corners and sent passes to Alyssa Broadt and Wehner, but Peters stayed steady in goal and saved one shot from each of them.
• The Marauders had a chance to add some insurance in the 64th minute. Tarsi slapped a shot that was saved and then
Annabelle Tierney fired a shot less than 20 seconds later that was also stopped. Tarsi tried once more eight seconds later, but her shot was once again saved.

Kyra Brakefield nearly scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute, as she fired a high shot that ricocheted off the crossbar.

Autumn Peters made five stops in the cage to earn her second shutout of the season.
NOTES
• The Marauders are now 18-43-4 all-time against the Huskies, including a 9-1 mark in their last 10 match ups.
• Millersville out shot Bloomsburg 10-7, but the Huskies held a 6-4 edge in penalty corners.
• This marks only the third match of the season the Marauders trailed in penalty corners.
UP NEXT
• Millersville will play its final home game of the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 3 against Mansfield at 12 p.m. on Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium. The Marauders previously beat the Mountaineers 2-0 back on Sept. 29.
