Greensburg, Pa. - Playing in its first road game in more than 10 days, the No. 7 Millersville University field hockey team shut out Seton Hill in a 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

The Marauder improve to 9-5 overall and 4-3 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play, while the Griffins remain winless at 0-14 and 0-7 in conference play.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• The game remained scoreless until the 29th minute when Millersville was awarded a penalty corner taken by Emma Boutcher. The ball eventually reached Sol Ortiz-Kreiner on the right side of the circle. She sent a high shot towards the cage and Asia Weaver deflected it past the goalkeeper to give the Marauders a 1-0 lead.
• Millersville doubled its lead just over two minutes later. Erica Tarsi fired a shot from the right side of the circle which was saved. She then collected the rebound and sent another rocket that made its way into the back of the cage for her team-leading 12th goal of the season.
• Seton Hill's lone scoring opportunity came in the 47th minute when it was awarded a penalty corner taken by Caitlin Bray. She sent the ball towards Erin Bronico who slapped a shot that went wide. It was the only penalty corner of the game for the Griffins.

• "It was a good conference win today and an important road win against a scrappy Seton Hill team. Right now we are managing our bench and I love that so many people are contributing."
• "We created a ton of chances today and gave people some valuable playing time. Nothing replicates the experience of playing in a game. Our midfield and forward lines created some great chances and almost everyone had chances today and we will continue to build on them. Again, the actual game experience is necessary."
• "Two great goals by Erica Tarsi and Asia Weaver who also had more opportunities to score. The goalkeeping unit did their part today. Same with them, I like how everyone is contributing. Some great efforts off the bench by Emma Boutcher, Asia Weaver and Niamh Murphy-O'Neil. Brooke Troutman, Amber Macdonald and Natalie Pinder had positive minutes today as well."

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Asia Weaver led the team in shots with five, three on goal. Alexis Gazzio recorded four shots while Jaycie St. John totaled three. Thirteen Marauders registered at least one shot in the win.
• Autumn Peters played the whole first half in the cage and Katie Baker took over at the start of the second half. Kristy Campana replaced her in the 68th minute and the three goalkeepers combined for the shutout. None of Seton Hill's three shots were on goal.

NOTES
• Millersville remains undefeated in the all-time series against the Griffins, as it improves its record to 15-0.
• This marks the 11th time the Marauders have shut out Seton Hill.
• The victory also marks Millersville's fifth shut out of the season.
• The Marauders out shot the Griffins 27-3 and held a 17-1 edge in penalty corners.

UP NEXT
• Millersville will next host Coker College in its final non conference match of the season on Monday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. on Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium. The Cobras are in their inaugural season and will play their own match against Seton Hill tomorrow at 1 p.m.
