
Millersville University Athletics to host first Dining with Champions

ESPY award winning and national champion Anthony Robles to serve as keynote speaker
Millersville, Pennsylvania - On Thursday, April 27 in Pucillo Gymnasium, Millersville University Athletics will host the first-ever Dining with Champions Scholarship Dinner and Auction featuring keynote speaker Anthony Robles. The formal event includes a reception, silent auction, dinner and speaking by the award-winning Robles. All proceeds from the event support student-athlete scholarships and program needs.
The signature event will recognize Millersville Athletics' finest student-athletes and celebrate the accomplishments that could not be achieved without the support of friends, family, alumni and corporate sponsors. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. Following dinner will be awards presentations for Male and Female Career Achievement, Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and Community Service.
The keynote speaker, Anthony Robles, is a three-time All-American wrestler and 2011 NCAA Champion despite being born with only one leg. Robles was the recipient of the "Jimmy V Perseverance Award" at the ESPN ESPY's and also received the NFL "Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award." Robles is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012 and is the author of Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion. In 2013, President Obama appointed Robles as a member of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. For more information about Robles, click here.
