Lancaster, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville women's swim team participated in a community service event at the Lancaster Humane League Thursday.
Thirteen swimmers participated in the event. The athletes helped staff clean the grounds and rearrange supplies with staff for two hours and 30 minutes. Participation in the event was an easy decision for head coach Kyle Almoney.
"It's a great organization that takes in pets in need and really gives them a great opportunity to get adopted again," Almoney said. " They do a lot within the community for animal adoption and protection so it was great to help out such a worthwhile group."
The Millersville women's swim team's next event is Jan. 21 against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Kutztown University in the Pucillo Natatorium.
