Kutztown, Pa. - Kutztown opened Saturday's game against Millersville with an 8-0 run and never looked back in handing Millersville an 82-71 road loss.
Millersville (4-5, 1-3 PSAC East) fell behind by double digits after scoring just nine points in the first 10-plus minutes of action. The Marauders rallied to within seven at the half and cut the deficit to 51-47 with 14:18 left on a three-point play from
Eddie Callender. But Kutztown answered with an 8-1 run and pulled away.
Five Marauders scored in double figures. Callender led the way with 15 poins, and
Tyree Smith added 14.
Jalen Lester hit 4-of-5 from 3-point range and finished with 12. While the Marauders shot 44.2 percent from the floor, Kutztown shot 60.7 percent in the in the first half and 55.6 percent for the game.
The Marauders travel to Slippery Rock on Dec. 16.
