
Millersville Athletics to Co-Host Diversity in Sport Forum

Diversity in Sport Forum Flyer
Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville University athletic department has announced that a diversity in sport forum will be held on Feb. 6 in the Student Memorial Center in honor of Black History Month.
The Millersville athletic department, along with other University groups, will sponsor the event which includes a professional review of the Hollywood movie, #42: The Jackie Robinson Story, by Dr. Michael E Lomax. Dr. Lomax will talk about the impact Robinson and others had in breaking the color barrier in major league baseball and in increasing involvement of African-American and Latinos in sport and culture today.
A morning screening of the film, #42: The Jackie Robinson Story will show in the SMC Multi-Purpose room at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. At 4 p.m. a book signing and discussion with Dr. Lomax will be held in McNairy Library in Ganser Hall. Finally, the diversity in sport forum, led by Dr. Lomax, will take place in the SMC Multi-Purpose room at 7 p.m.
