Marauders Roll in Their First Dual of the Season

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team cruised past Harford Community College in its first dual of the season at McComsey Tennis Courts. The Marauders took all of the decisions to win the match, 9-0.

Elizabeth Wagner defeated Ty-Chelle Williams 6-0, 6-3 in No. 1 singles. Tori Davis kept things rolling in No. 2 singles with a defeat of Haileigh Carper (6-0, 6-0). In No. 3 singles, Alexandra Heller came out on top against Shoshana Misch (6-3, 6-0). Stefanie Fisher won her No. 4 singles match over Korynne Arnold (6-0, 6-3). In No. 5 singles, freshman Heather Grove dropped a set but defeated Kaitlyn Kendall, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3. Maggie Karr beat Leslie Weinreich in No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-2).

No. 1 doubles pitted Wagner and Davis against Williams and Carper with Millersville coming out on top 8-2. In No. 2 doubles, Heller and Fisher squared up against Kendall and Weinreich and were victorious, 8-0. In the final match, Grove and Karr defeated Arnold and Elizabeth Mayer, 8-1.

Millersville matches up against Edinboro at McComsey Tennis Courts on Oct. 4 with the start time slated for 4 p.m.
