
Marauders Compete In Three Events at Day One of Penn Relays

Millersville, Pa. – At the first day of the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, the Marauders had three entries, and two of them posted season-best times, as well as a PSAC Championship-qualifying time.
In the first event of the day for Millersville, the 4x100-women's relay team took 66th overall with a time of 49.77. The group of Chrissy Savage, Erin Mason, Abby Schneider and Katherine Lennex ran the third-best time by a relay team in the event this season.
The second event of the day saw a team-best time for the women's 4x400-meter team. Mason, Savage, Becky Novak and Megan Meyer collected a season-best time for the women's team in the event with a finish of 3:57.62, placing them 65th overall.
James McBride, the only individual to compete on day one, finished 21st in the Olympic Development 5,000-meter run. In his first run of the season in the event, his time of 15:02.51 was the best by any men's team member this season and qualified him for the PSAC Championships at the end of the season.
Millersville is back in action tomorrow at the Relays, competing in its final three events at the meet. Two more relay teams will compete. The women will have a 4x200-meter relay team, while the men have a 4x400-meter relay team running. The only individual competing tomorrow is Keith Ogden Jr., who will run in the men's 400-meter hurdles. Live results of the events can be seen here.
