Carson, SC – The Millersville men and women's track & field teams began their outdoor season Thursday and Friday, competing in the Shamrock Invitational at Coastal Carolina. Over the course of the first two days, the Marauders have already seen a first-place finish and two school records fall in Carson, SC.
Fresh off her sixth-place All-American finish in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships last weekend, Elicia Anderson broke the meet record and won the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:08.91. Her time topped the best the meet has ever seen by close to two minutes. Anderson already holds the school record time with a finish of 34:17.31 last year.
Freshman Ann Kovacs topped the school record in the hammer throw in her first-ever competition in the event.
