East Stroudsburg, Pa. – The Millersville women's swimming team took a limited portion of the squad to the East Stroudsburg Invitational for the last event before the PSAC Championships begin. The Marauders picked up several top-three finishes at the event on Saturday.
Amanda Thomas captured the squads only first place finish of the afternoon in the 200-yard freestyle. Thomas finished the race in a time of 2:01.39. Victoria DeTample finished the race in third place in a time of 2:07.85.
Adriana Rodriguez took second place in both the 100 individual medley and the 200-yard breaststroke. Rodriguez finished the 100-IM in 1:19.08, while swimming the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:48.42.
DeTample finished second place in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:31.52.
The Marauders will now prepare for the PSAC Championship at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Feb. 16 to 19. Four different Marauders have qualified for a combined 10 different individual events.
