Princeton, N.J. - Millersville received wins from seniors Brandon Vernalli and Brad Ladd, but it was not nearly enough for the Marauders in a 41-9 loss at Princeton Friday evening.
The 165-pound Vernalli earned his team-leading ninth victory of the season with a 6-0 decision over Richard Eva. Vernalli's win broke a string of five consecutive Princeton wins to open the match. For the third straight dual, Millersville was forced to forfeit the 125- and 133-pound weight classes.
Three Princeton victories later, Ladd closed the dual with a pin of Robert Grogan in 1:54. It was Ladd's fourth pin of the season.
Millersville dropped to 1-5 straight loss while Princeton improved to 3-7.
Millersville hosts the ninth annual "Shorty" Hitchcock Memorial Invitational at Pucillo Gymnasium on Sunday. Action begins at 9 a.m.
