Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville men's and women's track and field teams held their annual Millersville Metrics meet Saturday afternoon at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium, and the squads saw several top-notch performances.
Chrissy Savage ran a PSAC-qualifying time of 1:05.88 for a first place finish in the 400-meter hurdles. Stacey Bernetski finished third with a time of 1:09.23.
Jess Rhyner finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.01 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Mattie Conaboy ran a time of 28.08 seconds for a fifth-place finish.
The 4x100 relay team of Bernetski, Whitney Savoy, Conaboy, and Savage finished first in 50.95 seconds. Savage, Bernetski, Kim Stokes, and Conaboy teamed up for the 4x400 relay, clocking in at 4:10.74 for a first-place finish.
In the 1,500-meter run, Emily Francisco ran a conference-qualifying time of 5:00.95 for a second-place finish. Sarah Mulvey finished fifth in 5:05.41. Elicia Anderson ran a time of 2:22.49 in the 800-meter run for a third-place finish, and Michelle Blum finished fifth in 2:24.63.
Millersville swept the top three spots in the 3,000-meter run. Rebekah Moore finished first time a time of 10:24.94, Kate Rhue came in second in 10:56.19, and Sarah Tull finished third in 10:57.01.
In the field, Heather Miller took home fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 121-06. Miller also finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 100-03.
Rhyner won the high jump, clearing a height of 5-0 1/2. Savoy finished third in the triple jump, jumping a distance of 34-7 1/2.
In men's action, Anthony Adamski placed third in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 11.46 seconds. Jorrel Nugent finished in fifth with a time of 11.58.
Jeff Robinson finished the 200-meter run in 22.14 for a first place finish. Chris Jackson landed fifth place with a time of 23.48. Ryan Griffith finished fourth in the 400 hurdles in 59.19.
The 4x100 relay team, comprised of Keith Ogden, Robinson, Stephen Boyd, and Derrick Bass, won the event with a time of 42.66 seconds. Finishing in 2:00.46 Nick Sperry placed fourth in the 800, and Andrew Mussleman finished eighth in 2:01.49.
Joshua Foulds, Jim Boyer, and Connor Veres swept the top three spots of the 5,000-meter run. Foulds finished in 15:28.74 for first place, followed by Boyer in 15:31.28, and Veres in 15:49.48.
Off the track, Avery Webster finished second in the hammer throw with a distance of 157-3. Peter Hafer placed second with a throw of 156-4, and Dakota Snell took home third with a throw of 128-4.
Webster landed first place in the shot put with a distance of 47-5. Snell finished fifth with a throw of 40-08.25. In the discus, Webster placed fifth with a throw of 126-1.
Boyd won the triple jump with a leap of 42-08.75. Chris Wallace came in third with a distance of 40-11. Boyd also won the long jump, clearing a distance of 22-01. Wallace finished third with a distance of 20-07.
Gregh McHugh and Zac Kohler finished second and third in the pole vault, respectively. McHugh cleared a height of 12-7 1/2 and Kohler cleared 12-1 1/2.
Kohler cleared a conference-qualifying height of 6-4 3/4 in the high jump for a second place finish.
The Marauders travel to New Jersey on May 1 for the Princeton Elite Meet.
