McBride's 12th-Place Finish Leads Men's Cross Country

Bethlehem, Pa. - Sparked by James McBride's 12th-place finish, the Millersville men's cross country team placed 13th in a field of 40 teams from all three NCAA divisions in Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational Friday afternoon.
McBride completed the 8K "Brown" race in 25:42. He crossed the line just five seconds out of the top 10 and 28 behind first-place finisher Max Kaulbach of Princeton. As a team, the Marauders finished behind a handful of Division I programs and first among the four PSAC teams in competition. There were 357 total runners.
Josh Foulds also turned in a solid race, placing 38th with a time of 26:16. Redshirt freshman teammate Seth Hibbs took 100th after finishing in 26:55. Zach Kelchner (27:07) and Jim Boyer (27:20) finished in 124th and 147th respectively. Michael Parker placed 209th and Kevin Diflorio took 219th.
Princeton, with three runners in the top six, grabbed top team honors.
Millersville returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Run for the Roses in Lancaster, Pa.
