Bethlehem, Pa. - The Millersville men's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish Friday afternoon in the Paul Short Invitational "White" race.
The Lehigh University hosted event held 14 races throughout the day including four separate collegiate events. The Marauders participated in the "White" event and had an impressive showing in the 29-team, 245-individual field. They bested nearby competitors Philadelphia, Franklin & Marshall and Lebanon Valley as well as PSAC member West Chester.
Jeff Rafach led the team with a 21st-place finish, posting a time of 26:41 on the 10K course. Freshman Tim Stauring crossed the line in 27:02, which was good for 36th place. Junior Ben Morrison finished 10 seconds and six spots behind Stauring, and freshmen Connor Veres and Michael Parker rounded out the scoring in 46th and 48th place respectively.
Millersville competes at Lancaster County Park next Saturday in the Run for the Roses.
