Box Score

East Stroudsburg, Pa.
– Following its first loss of the season, the Millersville men's soccer team found itself unranked for the first time since the week of September 2, 2008. The voters might want to rethink the decision to remove Millersville from the Top 25 following Wednesday night's game. The Marauders stormed into East Stroudsburg and handed the No. 4 ranked team in the country a 4-1 defeat.

In a highly anticipated battle of PSAC Eastern Division favorites, it was Millersville (7-1, 4-0 PSAC East) that struck early and often.

Exactly 11 minutes into the game, freshman #Adam Santeusanio# scored the first goal of his collegiate career when he headed home a #Matthew Procopio pass to give the Marauders a 1-0 lead.

Just over 20 minutes later, Millersville's leading scorer, #Sean McLaughlin# ,scored his fifth goal of the season and the Marauders took the 2-0 lead to halftime.

McLaughlin was at it again in the 57th minute as he scored another unassisted goal. His sixth of the season gave Millersville a 3-0 lead. In what is quickly becoming a trend for the Marauders this season, they scored another quick goal to follow McLaughlin's. This time, it was sophomore #Jeremy Yoder# scoring off a corner kick six minutes later. #Kyle Loughlin# and #Ryan Kiley# picked up assists on Millersville's fourth goal of the evening.

Sophomore goalkeeper #Matt Langione# made two saves in 81 minutes of play, while #Kurt Pleierplayed the final nine minutes of the game.

East Stroudsburg (7-2, 4-1 PSAC East) was able to avoid the shutout when Kyle Niemann scored an unassisted goal in the 85th minute.

The Marauders will look to carry the momentum of tonight's win into their next match, on Saturday, September 27, as they host Slippery Rock at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
