The only four-time All-PSAC golfer in Millersville history, Scott Micklewright was a key member of two PSAC Championship teams and a NCAA East Regional Championship. Micklewright capped his four-year Millersville career with the best scoring average in Millersville history at 75.8.

Micklewright finished runner-up at the PSAC Championships twice and recorded two of the 10 best scoring seasons in Millersville history. During his time on the roster, the Marauders won 12 tournaments including the 2003 and 2005 PSAC titles and the 2003 regional championship.

Even as a freshman, Micklewright led the Marauders with a 76.7 scoring average and placed sixth at the PSAC Championships while earning four top-10 finishes in the spring. As a sophomore in 2002-03, Micklewright was the team’s top finisher four times, finishing as the PSAC runner-up and tying for fifth at the NCAA East Regional. As a junior in 2003-04, Micklewright won two tournaments and finished the season with a team-leading 75.3 scoring average.

Micklewright was at his best during his 2004-05 senior season, posting what was then the second-best single season scoring average in Millersville history at 74.9 over 24 rounds Micklewright led the Marauders to a PSAC Championship by finishing as the tournament’s runner-up, shooting rounds of 74 and 75. He was the top team’s top finisher 10 times, winning the Bob Raymond Invitational at 2-under-par and taking runner-up honors three times.

While a member of the Millersville roster, Micklewright qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship held at Winged Foot Golf Club and won the 2002 Pennsylvania Better Ball Championship. In his post-collegiate career, he qualified for the 2008 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at Milwaukee Country Club.

Micklewright received a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2005. He and his wife, Courtney ’05, have two children: Colin and Mackenzie. Scott has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at Mid Penn Bank in Harrisburg, Pa. since 2010.
