    Champion of Athletics

Lois Morgan's impactful contributions to Millersville Athletics are unmatched, and she is the first individual elected to the hall of fame under the special distinction of "Champion of Athletics."

A 1954 graduate of Millersville University, Morgan was a substitute elementary teacher and worked in the district office of Manheim Township Schools. Morgan has shown unwavering support and generosity to Millersville athletics, beginning in 2018, when she established scholarships for women's athletics and the Morgan Academic Center. The academic center provided technology upgrades and a study space exclusively for student-athletes.

Following the unique challenges presented to Millersville Athletics in the wake of COVID-19, Morgan came to the aid of all student-athletes by establishing general scholarships with a gift of $500,000.

Morgan recognized a significant need for modernizing Biemesderfer Stadium and started a campaign to build new locker rooms and athletic training spaces with the largest single gift in the history of Millersville Athletics.

Morgan's generosity and care for the student-athlete experience has touched the lives of countless Millersville student-athletes.

As a student at Millersville, Morgan worked 28 hours a week at a local newspaper to pay for her education, preventing her from participating in sports. Her late husband, Milton, was also a passionate supporter of athletics. In addition to her contributions to Millersville, Morgan has volunteered for the Cancer Society, Lancaster General Hospital, and the Girls Scouts. She has four children, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and eight step great-grandchildren.
