Sunflower Greene opened her 2016-17 season by crushing the school's indoor shot put record--a record that had stood since 1992. Greene's 47-8 was nearly four feet better than the school record and was a NCAA Championships provisional qualifying mark. Greene also placed third in the weight throw at the Diplomat Open, posting a personal best and PSAC Championships qualifying distance of 46-6.
