Mandy Hammond had a fast start to the 2016 season, going 9-for-16 (.563) in the team's first six games. Hammond drove in a team-leading five RBIs, scored three runs and recorded two extra-base hits. Her top performance was a 4-for-5 game with three runs scored against Virginia State.
