Sophomore Ryan McCormick moved into the leadoff spot and batted .500 (12-for-24) and scored 12 runs over last week’s eight-game stretch. While the Marauders posted a 6-2 record, including three against Bloomsburg, McCormick ripped six doubles and drove in eight runs. He totaled eight base on balls and was hit two times, putting his on base percentage at .629 for the week. McCormick two hits in five of the games including four in a row at one point. He also scored at least two runs in three games. He was also outstanding in the field, totaling 19 putouts, 22 assists and committing just one error. He also had a hand in turning seven double plays.
