Sophomore Chris Murphy improved to 4-0 against the PSAC East and 10-1 overall to tie the single season school record for wins. He tied the mark in style, hurling his fifth complete game shutout of the season and his fourth in his last six starts. He has allowed only two runs in four starts against the PSAC East and has surrendered only one run over his last 40.2 innings pitched. Murphy had little margin for error in the 2-0 win at Mansfield Sunday. He limited the Mountaineers to just three hits and two walks while striking out seven. Murphy was perfect through four innings and escaped a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the fifth with a ground out and strikeout. Murphy is tied for the ninth-most wins in PSAC history and is scheduled for two more regular season starts.
