Millersville

Senior outfielder Corey Phelan used the long ball to propel Millersville to three wins over PSAC East rival Bloomsburg last weekend. In the four-game series, Phelan hit .455 (5-for-11), scored four runs, plated five more and slammed two home runs. He was also stellar defensively as well. In Millersville’s 6-5 win in game one, it was his throw to the plate that pegged a runner and kept Millersville in position to win. Phelan recorded a hit in every game and scored a run in three of the four. His biggest game came in game three at Bloomsburg when he hit two, two-run home runs in his first two at bats. He drove in all four Millersville runs in the game. He also managed to reach base twice in the finale and had one of Millersville’s four hits in the game.
