Millersville

The hitting of redshirt freshman Zach Stone powered Millersville to three wins in four games against PSAC East rival Kutztown. In the series, Stone batted .500 (7-of-14) and drove in an incredible 10 runs—an average of more than two per game. His on base percentage was .533, and he slugged .857 as three of his hits were for extra bases. He also did not strike out in 15 plate appearances. Stone recorded at least one hit in all four games. In Millersville’s 11-5 win Friday, Stone went 2-for-4 with a career-high six RBIs and two runs scored. He set the stage for the win with a first inning grand slam—the first of his career. He also doubled in the game. In the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader, Stone ripped three singles and was hit by a pitch to reach base in all four plate appearances. He drove in two runs as the Marauders rolled to a 12-2 win. In the nightcap, he plated two of Millersville’s five runs.
