Freshman Taylor Odell-Smith turned in an impressive first week at the plate, batting .562 with a .650 on base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. She racked up 16 total bases, hit two homers and drove in 11 runs. In every game she made a plate appearance, Odell-Smith reached base. Against Urbana on March 7, Odell-Smith hit a double and a grand slam in the same inning. She finished with six RBIs in the 14-3 win. She also recorded three hits and drove in a pair of runs against St. Joseph's.
