Sophomore Mashira Newman's clutch last minute against Edinboro helped the Marauders complete a weekend sweep of the Fighting Scots and Lock Haven. She averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals in the two games. Her biggest moment came in the final minute when she stole the ball that led to the go-ahead basket, and then hit another go-ahead hoop with 16 seconds on the clock. She also iced the game with a free throw with four seconds left. Newman scored 14 points and added six steals in the game. Against Lock Haven, she totaled 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
