Senior lefty Forrest Mengle did not allow a run in nine innings of work against two PSAC East opponents last week. He made a relief appearance against West Chester, pitching a perfect inning. And in the series opener against Bloomsburg, Mengle not only pitched the full seven innings, but he worked into extra innings, helping the Marauders to a 2-1 win. He surrendered only four hits and did not allow an earned run in the game. In his nine innings, he held opponents to a .125 batting average, struck out three and walked one. It was his second complete game of the year, and he has allowed only three earned runs (five total) over his last 28 innings pitched.
