MARAUDER KIDS CLUB GOAL
The goal of this project is to have student-athletes interact with the children of the Millersville Community, as well as the families of Millersville University, in a way that allows the athletes to create positive, life-learning experiences in the lives of children throughout Millersville University Athletics Community.
MARAUDER
A Marauder Kids Club member is a child within the ages of 5-12 years old who is a fan of Millersville Athletics.
MEMBERSHIP
Cost is $20 per kid, $15 for any additional children in the same family. Four or more children in the same household family will receive a family rate of $50.
ALL proceeds will go towards Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Membership will begin at time of purchase, (beginning as early as September 19th, 2009) and conclude June 1, 2010.
The Marauders Kids Club is a newly added club created for children to support Millersville varsity sports through interactive and fun activities. Memberships include a Marauders Kids Club t-shirt, athletics game day sports card (runs from time of purchase until June 1 2010), autograph booklet, free admission to all home sporting events (excluding post-season play), interaction with Skully the University’s mascot, a parents monthly E-newsletter, a birthday card from Skully and access to many more special events exclusively for Marauders kids club members (which will be updated through the E-newsletter).
Members who sign up on September 19th at the first home football game of the year receive a free marauder gift!
WHO IS IN CHARGE?
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee members will be presenting this club under the direction of the committee. They will be the ones handling the money that will then go towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Sponsorship was provided by Student Services, Inc. They will also be a liaison for the new club.
WHERE CAN A MEMBERSHIP BE ACQUIRED?
1.) There will be a special section on the ticket website where families can sign their children up.
2.) There will be a table out in front of EVERY home football game and EVERY home basketball game promoting the club and its benefits. This will be worked by the members of the student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC).
3.) A broadcast email with a form to fill out and mail in will be sent to:
a.) Faculty and Staff of Millersville University
b.) Student-Athletes’ families
c.) Members around the local community of Millersville
d.)Local elementary schools
4.) Flyers will be hung with online registration information at:
a.) Local elementary schools
b.) local area businesses
c.) Around campus
All proceeds will benefit the MAKE-A-WISH Foundation
