Bloomsburg, Pa. – The Millersville women's tennis team were unable to advance into the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference semifinal round as it dropped a 5-0 loss to Bloomsburg on Tuesday afternoon at Burt Reese Tennis Center.
The Huskies swept through doubles play to go up 3-0. At No. 1 doubles
Tori Davis and
Kaylora Thompson lost a heartbreaker 9-8, dropping 9-7 in the tie-breaker. Bloomsburg's No. 2 team and No. 3 team both won by scores of 8-2 to put the Huskies in control.
In singles action,
Maggie Karr dropped to Cat Garrity who picked up the Huskies fourth win of the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Kimberly Theophile was unable to pick up a victory in No. 4 singles, and play was subsequently halted due to lack of daylight.
