Complete NCAA Tournament Field | Watch Selection Show

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Millersville University baseball team is the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional for the second time in the last three years. The Marauders were chosen as the top-ranked team in the six-team field during the NCAA Division II Tournament Selection Show Sunday night. Winston-Salem will host the tournament at Wake Forest University.

Millersville posted an impressive 38-16 record and won the PSAC Eastern Division. Winston-Salem State, the champions of the CIAA, are the No. 2 seed. Seton Hill of the WVIAC grabbed an at-large bid as the No. 3 seed. Shippensburg, which failed to qualify for the PSAC Tournament, made the field as an at-large and the No. 4 seed. East Stroudsburg, the PSAC Tournament champs, was picked as the No. 5 seed, and WVIAC Tournament champs Concord rounded out the bracket.

"We are thrilled to be the No. 1 seed heading into the Atlantic Regional," said head coach Jon Shehan. "It is unfortunate that we were unable to host, but it is great for our program to secure the top seed after the conclusion of the regular season and the PSAC Tournament. We are excited to get back to work knowing that all of our goals are still attainable. This is exactly where we wanted to be heading into the NCAA Tournament when we set out on our journey together in August."

Millersville is in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time since 1998 and has won two regional championships (1998 and 2011). Play from Wake Forest begins on Thursday, May 16. Game time will be announced on Monday.

The Atlantic Regional is one of eight six-team regionals contested across Division II. The winners of the regionals earn a trip to the NCAA Division II Championship in Cary, N.C.
