Kutztown, Pa. – The Millersville men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Kutztown Last Chance Invitational Saturday--the final meet before the conference championships.
On the women's side, the Marauder distance runners posted impressive finishes. Elicia Anderson took home top honors in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:42.24. Brittany Arnold finished the 3,000-meter run in second in 11:16.73.
Sarah Mulvey and Kate Rhue finished fourth and fifth, respectively, fighting to the finish in the 800-meter run. Mulvey came in 2:27.75 and Rhue finished in 2:27.98.
In the field, Whitney Savoy jumped a distance of 10.76 meters in the triple jump for a second place finish.
On the men's side, Jeff Robinson won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.13 seconds. Anthony Adamski took home second in the 200-meter dash in 24.47.
Keith Ogden won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.67 seconds. The men's 4x1000-meter relay team of Adamski, Chris Jackson, Ryan Griffith, and Chris Wallace won the event in 42.93 seconds.
Clocking in at 2:01.61, Jeff Rafach finished the 800-meter run in fourth place. Connor Veres crossed the line in 15:50.66 in the 5,000-meter run for a third-place finish.
Ryan McCauley came in second in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.15 meters. Stephen Boyd and Derrick Bass finished the long jump in third and fourth places. Boyd jumped a distance of 6.68 meters and Bass jumped a distance of 6.27 meters.
The Marauders head to West Chester for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, May 15. Results will be made available after completion of each day.
