Edinboro, Pa. – The Millersville men's and women's indoor track and field team wrapped up its indoor season with a new school record in the women's 3,000-meter run, set by Elicia Anderson at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday.
Anderson was the sole provider of the women's points for the second day in a row with three points, placing sixth in the 3,000. Her time of 10:11.00 marked a new Millersville record in the event.
On the men's side, Zac Kohler claimed eighth place in the heptathlon, nabbing the Marauders' only point of the day. Kohler's score of 4,333 points is a new season-best.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Anthony Adamski, Keith Ogden, Jack Scanlin, and Chris Jackson made a good showing, placing fourth in their section of runners. Their time of 3:25.47 was not quick enough, however, to place in the top-10.
The women's squad finished the meet in 14th place with four points, and the men's team finished in 10th with 11 points. The Marauders' outdoor season opens on Friday, March 12 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Conway, S.C.
