Marauders Complete First Day of PSAC Indoor Championships

Edinboro, Pa. – The Millersville men's and women's track and field team completed their first day of competition at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday afternoon.
While most of the events ran were preliminaries that set the field for the finals on Sunday, women's sophomore Elicia Anderson took eighth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:50.81. She picked up one point for the Marauders with the finish.
In the same event on the men's side, Jim Boyer also placed eighth, turning in a time of 15:10.66. Jorrel Nugent scored four points for the Marauders with a fifth-place finish in the long jump. His jump of 7.01 meters was a season best.
The men's distance medley relay team, comprised of Andrew Mussleman, Jack Scanlin, Jeff Rafach and Seth Hibbs earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 10:24.89.
At the end of day one, the women stood in 13th place, and the men's team ranked ninth out of 11 teams with 10 points.
