Chad Miller were named to Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-Super Region One Third Team Defense Wednesday afternoon.
This marks the eighth year the Football Gazette has selected NCAA Division II All-Region teams. The national publication has selected NCAA Division II All-America teams since 1988. The Super Region 1 (formerly the Northeast Region) is comprised of universities from four conferences including the PSAC, WVIAC, NE10 and CIAA. Millersville's Carter and Miller were one of 108 players recognized from 38 different programs.
Carter, a standout safety that was named All-PSAC East First Team following the 2009 season, was one of the most productive players in the league. He ranked 10th in tackles with 87, led the Marauders with two interceptions, recovered a fumble and ranked among the PSAC leaders in forced fumbles with three.
Miller was a stalwart defensive tackle and team captain that earned All-PSAC East Second Team status. He led all Millersville defensive linemen in tackles with 40, made 12 tackles for loss and a career-high three sacks. He also intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble.
