Redshirt freshman Mashira Newman hardly played like a freshman in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. She led the team in scoring (13.0), rebounding (9.0) steals (4.0) and assists (2.5). Newman totaled 11 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three blocks against West Liberty, and then recorded her second career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against California (Pa.).
